Ovadia Plastic Surgery
Beyond the core areas of plastic surgery, Dr. Ovadia treats several specialized conditions.
Lipedema surgery addresses a chronic condition — often misdiagnosed as obesity or lymphedema — characterized by symmetric, pathologic fat deposits in the legs and sometimes arms. Specialized liposuction techniques (water-assisted or tumescent) can significantly reduce volume, improve mobility, and decrease pain. Diagnosis and treatment require a surgeon familiar with this condition.
Scar revision improves the appearance and function of scars resulting from prior surgery, trauma, or burns. Techniques include excision, Z-plasty, W-plasty, dermabrasion, laser therapy, and steroid injection, selected based on scar type, location, and maturity.
Hand rejuvenation addresses the visible signs of aging in the hands — volume loss, prominent veins and tendons, and thin, crepey skin. Treatment may include fat grafting, dermal fillers, or skin resurfacing.
Complex reconstruction encompasses challenging cases involving tissue loss, non-healing wounds, prior surgical complications, or the need for tissue rearrangement. This includes local and regional flap surgery, skin grafting, and microsurgical free tissue transfer.
